As we turn the calendar to 2020, we’re just about ready to begin league activities for the WTLL spring season. Our amazing WTLL Board of Directors have been hard at work during the offseason to ensure 2020 is a great experience for all players, managers, volunteers, parents & extended families.
So, we are very thankful to each of your families for registering for our upcoming Spring season, and humbled by such an unbelievable turnout during registration. Registration numbers are the highest we’ve seen in over 10 years and we’re very blessed to have each of your families on board for the upcoming season. We can’t wait to get started.
Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too long to do so. Next Saturday, January 11th – is our Player Assessment day. This is for Major, Minor and Farm divisions ONLY. As these are competitive divisions, assessments are a chance for each division’s respective managers to assess the current skills of each player (hitting, fielding, throwing). Based on this day’s activities, and historical knowledge of returning players – managers & our Board strive to create as much parity across each division, as possible.
As such, we ask for all players to attend their respective Divisional time slot (see schedule below), based on LAST NAME. Players should arrive 30-45 minutes before their time slot, in order to have time to check-in, receive their player number for the day, and warm up. This day will move quite fast, so it’s important your child is ready to go when their time slot is called. Groups are based on roughly 50% of total registrations in each division, split by alpha order of last name.

Following next Saturday’s assessment day, players will be distributed across teams in each division – including Rookie & TBall.
Once rosters are finalized, managers will reach out to introduce themselves & share when your teams first practice will take place.
Opening Day is scheduled for Saturday, February 22nd. More details to come on this, in the coming weeks.
